Are you ready to undertake a band 7 secondment opportunity within general surgery, where you can further develop your leadership and management skills, where your talents are utilised to influence care quality standards and improvements?

Ward E8 is seeking a senior charge nurse/ senior sister to lead their proactive nursing team. This 30 bedded ward cares for high acuity patients post specialist urology and HPB surgery, where the nursing team takes great pride in sustaining endorsed, high standards of care and thrives on the challenge to constantly improve their patient’s experience.

As the successful post holder you would be working in conjunction with the consultant body nurse practitioner team and care group management teams, supporting the delivery of established patient pathways whist creating new and innovative approaches to patient pathways whilst supporting and leading on transformational projects.  

The position is supported academically, with access to MsC modules at Southampton University and UHS leadership courses, also within the clinical environment with weekly / monthly meetings with the matron and divisional head of nurse allowing you to personally and professional develop in turn progressing the development of your nursing team.
