Our Patient Experience Team is looking for volunteers to help support the team with obtaining feedback from our patients about their experiences of our services.
As a patient experience volunteer you will be visiting wards and departments and speaking to patients about their stay in hospital. You will support the team by helping patient’s complete surveys using electronic tablets, paper surveys and forms.
We will train you so that you can help our patients raise a concern or have their say about their experience.
You will also collect completed paper/card surveys from the wards and upload these into our online survey programme. Full training will be given upon starting.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a minimum of three hours per week for a minimum of six months. The Patient Experience Team is available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday. We are very flexible with the times of shifts.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
