As part of our ever expanding and evolving service, we are looking for highly motivated healthcare assistants to join our teams.

We are recruiting across all our sites, including Southampton General Hospital, Princess Anne Hospital and Countess Mountbatten House and there are exciting opportunities available across many of our patient services, including (but not limited to): 

  • theatres
  • outpatients
  • eye unit
  • trauma and orthopaedics 
  • neurology
  • medicine for older people

We currently have very limited opportunities within our paediatric services, so you may wish to consider an alternative area when making your application.

You must also be fully flexible. Our services operate 24 hours, 365 days a year so you must be able to cover a variety of shifts including early, late long days and nights

We are one of England's largest acute teaching trusts and have recently been rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, and in the latest national NHS Staff Survey we ranked;

  • top 20% for staff would recommend the trust as a place to work.

Selection days will run from 8.45am until 3pm and will include a presentation about our Trust, tours around our wards, an opportunity to talk to a variety of healthcare professionals about what it is like to work here. We only have a limited number of spaces available so attendance is by invitation only

Selection days will be taking place on:

  • Saturday 3 March – Please apply by 14 February to be considered
  • Saturday 7 April – Please apply by 21 March to be considered
  • Saturday 21 April
  • Saturday 23 June
  • Saturday 21 July
  • Saturday 18 August

The first stage of our selection process will involve a short interview if you are successful at this stage, we will then invite you to our next selection day.
