An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated enthusiastic Nurse to join Brooke ward management team as a Ward sister. Brooke ward is a Trauma & orthopaedics/ orthogeriatric step-down ward, based at Princess Anne Hospital.

If you are dedicated and passionate about providing fantastic patient care then this ward will give you great job satisfaction as you prepare patients for discharge or ongoing therapy.

The successful candidate will be pro-active in ensuring high quality, evidence based care. You will be an individual who demonstrates excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development, a strong commitment to developing others and sound decision-making skills. An Orthopaedic or Elderly Care qualification or module would be desirable, but not essential.

So what can you look forward to? To start with, this is a hugely challenging role that will see you deal holistically with a wide range of conditions and treatments. You’ll find a real commitment to your training and development, with plenty of learning opportunities.

Last but definitely not least, Southampton is a great place to live and work. There's plenty going on in this vibrant and evolving city. But when you need to relax you can explore the beautiful New Forest and outstanding coastline that’s right on your doorstep.

If it’s time your career took off, we would to love to hear from you.

Closing date for applications Wednesday 24th October.
