The Trauma and Orthopaedic Service at UHS is a leading National Trauma Centre.  Our aim in the Trauma and Orthopaedics department is to provide care and treatment of the highest standard.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and dedicated team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, self-directed individual to become an Admin Assistant to the Trauma and Specialist Nurses and wider team.

 

You will become part of the supportive Trauma and Orthopaedic Administration team, working in a busy, fast paced environment. You will support the Clinical and Nursing team, whilst liaising with the general public to arrange all aspects of admissions.

 

If you have experience or an interest in administration, have excellent communication skills and can work well both as part of a team and unsupervised, then this is an ideal opportunity for you.

 

This is a full time post Monday to Friday covering 37.5 hours with the planned hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however, we will happily consider job share of 16 – 18 hours, Tuesday to Friday, with the planned working hours of 8+  hours per day. The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
