Substantive consultants are welcome to apply for the post of Medical Education lead for Major Trauma. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate consultant to lead on and develop the Major Trauma Centre (MTC) education strategy, manage the portfolio of MTC courses and ensure that MTC education competencies are achieved. This post is for 1 Programmed Activity (PA – 4 hrs) per week. In this role the successful applicant will work alongside a non-medical education lead, together you will develop a comprehensive strategy and delivery programme.

UHS is a recognised national leader in major trauma education. In addition to delivering the European Trauma Course (ETC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) we have developed a number of innovative multidisciplinary educational programmes delivered across the region.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will be working alongside experienced colleagues from a variety of specialities, such as pre-hospital medicine, Emergency Care, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Intensive Care Medicine, Surgery and Neuro-surgery and Major Trauma Practitioners to help develop and deliver a wide ranging educational programme.
