As a regional centre of excellence, we are expanding our amputee service. We are excited to be recruiting a specialist band 6 occupational therapist to join our integrated therapy team.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic occupational therapist who has a specialist interest in working with amputees. You need to be someone who is confident with complex clinical reasoning and decision making, comfortable working in a busy, acute environment, across hospital sites (Southampton General Hospital and Queen Alexandra Hospital) as well as in patients’ homes.

You will be working alongside experienced therapy colleagues, receive an in-depth induction and have monthly supervision with a band 7 occupational therapist. You will have the opportunity to contribute to in-service training, audits and service development projects.

To apply for this post, you must have a broad range of acute experience and be willing to work flexibly to cover weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

You will need to be able to drive and have access to a car in order to complete community visits and indicate this on your application.

We would encourage anyone considering applying for this post to come for an informal visit and discussion.

We look forward to hearing from you!
