The theatres department at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) is currently expanding, and we are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as theatre assistants.
The role will involve:
No prior experience is required as in house training is provided with the potential for further development.
Currently, this team covers services between 07:30 and 21:30, 7 days per week.
University Hospital Southampton is one of the UK’s biggest teaching hospitals and a regional unit for a wide range of specialist services, performing over 34000 operations per year. We also provide local hospital services to some 500,000 people living in Southampton and south west Hampshire; and specialist services such as neurosciences, cardiothoracic adult and congenital surgery and regional centre for paediatric surgery. We are a world leading centre for laparoscopic surgery and the home to the Wessex Spinal Service.
Southampton is a vibrant city, close to the New Forest, access to sailing and water sports in the Solent and all that you would expect from a University city.
