We have an exciting opportunity available to manage Taplins, one of our two workplace nurseries. The nursery cares for approximately 50 children ranging from 3 months to 5 years in a purpose built setting at Southampton General Hospital and has been rated as ‘Good’ by OFSTED.

 

Your role will be to:

  • Manage the nursery, ensuring compliance with EYFS statutory framework, OFSTED regulations and the Children’s Act.
  • Lead, motivate and inspire the team to continually improve and develop their childcare provision
  • Work with the leadership and management team in both Taplins nurseries to enable integrated working between the settings and deliver childcare of a consistent quality
  • Optimise capacity and income for the nursery

You will bring:

  • A degree in an Early Years Childcare related subject/ Early Years Practitioner Status (or equivalent), or have a foundation degree and be willing to work towards the full degree.
  • Experience of managing an Early Years setting, or be an experienced deputy manager with skills and aspirations to work at this level
  • Ability to manage a large team and drive improvements in performance
  • Flexibility to work between 0700-1830 Monday to Friday throughout the year
