Do you want to be part of friendly, close-knit team providing superb standards of childcare?
Do you love nothing more than seeing a child progress, knowing that you’ve played a key part in their development? Are you hardworking, friendly and dependable – and looking for your next challenge?
We’re looking for people to join our Taplins nurseries team and if you think you’d fit in, we’d love to hear from you!
About the role:
Our nursery staff care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, planning and carrying out activities in line with the Early Years’ curriculum. They are also responsible for evaluating the activities, and for maintaining online learning journals via Tapestry.
We ask that all our nursery staff have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or a willingness to study towards it with our support).
We ask that all our nursery staff have an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding, with demonstrable previous Early Years’ experience.
This could be work experience or paid work in a nursery for example, but unfortunately we cannot accept applications from people whose only experience of childcare is in an informal setting, such as babysitting.
Hours and location:
We have full time and part time opportunities at both our hospital sites (Western Community Hospital/ Southampton General Hospital).
Our working hours are between 7am and 6.30pm, so you need to be flexible to work shift patterns within these hours.
Taplins nurseries are owned and managed by University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and all employees receive standard NHS terms and conditions including:
Closing date for applications Friday 19 October.
