Online applications are invited for a full time post as a BRC Research fellows in Nutrition Mid Life based within the surgical care group at UHS.  This post is fixed term for 24 months.

The start date for this post is flexible, with an earliest possible start of September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team who are delivering and developing Surgical services throughout the trust.

This post will be based on a 50/50 split between clinical and research. The post aims to provide research training to the post holders whilst supporting surgical studies taking place at UHS. NIHR-BRC funded into nutrition in cancer patients theme. This is highly prestigious post, with commitment to training towards PhD in one of the world leading universities in cancer research. The funding will include consumable costs. The candidates will be supported with intensive academic supervision, and will be supported to progress in their chosen career

Appointment will be made under local contractual terms and conditions of service for Trust appointed (non-training fellow doctors and dentists) which will be published and available at time of offers.

Grades for Trust appointed (non-training) fellows will be paid a basic salary at a nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular. Basic salary detailed below plus any additional remuneration (as applicable) for hours set out in the doctors work schedule (e.g. additional hours, weekend allowance, and any hours which attract enhanced pay)

Please note that GMC registration (with a licence to practice) and right to work in the UK are essential for this role.  Successful applicants will already have GMC registration or will be able to demonstrate they are eligible.  Applicants requiring Tier 2 sponsorship should ensure they meet the Home Office application criteria prior to submitting an application.
