We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic clinical research coordinator to join us in the research and development department based at the Southampton General Hospital. This post forms part of a team created to support the set-up and delivery of high quality research across a diverse set of clinical specialties.

As a research coordinator you will work closely with the research facilitators to ensure clinical research activity within UHS is initiated efficiently. This will include:
-Ensuring the timely progression of all research studies through local and national processes for researchers on a divisional basis, guiding them to the appropriate resources to support the set up and delivery of studies, both commercial and non-commercial.
-Providing expert support and advice to Chief and Principal Investigators participating in research, in relation to the requirements of the HRA, MHRA and local trust policy.
-Ensuring relevant study documentation is processed appropriately, including confirmation that research can proceed at the Trust and ensure that relevant documentation is disseminated and actioned appropriately
The following skills and experience are required for this post:
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Previous experience of conducting or organising clinical research studies
-Advanced understanding of Microsoft Applications e.g. Word and Excel
-Exceptional attention to detail and organisation skills
-The ability to work alone or as part of a team
Full training will be provided but you will be expected to manage your own workload to achieve the goals set by the team.
