The care group has undergone significant modernisation in the last five years as a result of the managed equipment service with new equipment and facilities throughout the care group. Radiology has a high profile within the Trust and across the region.
In this post, you will have the opportunity to take a lead role in the ongoing development of the service. It will be possible to include a secondary area of interest within your job plan such as abdominal or neuroradiology, depending on your experience.

The hospital is a major teaching centre and is the base for the Wessex Radiology Training Scheme. Most of the regional specialist units are located within our trust. We are a major referral centre for intestinal failure and recurrent pelvic cancer surgery, with associated specialist imaging requirements.
We’ve worked hard as a trust to make improve the efficiency of our services and as a result, we are currently in financial surplus. We are one of England's largest acute teaching trusts and have recently been rated ‘Good’ by the CQC. In the latest national NHS Staff Survey we ranked:
Southampton is an attractive place to live and work situated on the south coast, with an international airport and only an hour on the train from central London. The New Forest National Park and the beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on our doorstep.
The city offers living costs 20% lower than those in London, 13 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted and 13 nearby green spaces to enjoy.
