An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Procurement Department at University Hospitals Southampton.
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to work closely with Procurement and supply chain colleagues. The successful candidate will support the Assistant Procurement Specialist and Procurement Managers in the delivery of the Trust annual cost improvement plan. The individual will provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders and will work on their own initiative in providing an effective procurement service.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate communication and prioritisation skills along with attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake purchasing activity and deliver medium/high value contracts for goods, equipment, services and maintenance etc and to ensure contract and catalogue compliance with Trust SFI’s and EU Procurement regulations.
