An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, self directed individual to join our management team as an Assistant outpatient coordinator at the welcoming, busy and dynamic Wessex Neurological Care Group.

The Wessex Neurological Centre is the regional Centre for Neurosurgery, Complex Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology serving a population of 3.5 million. We provide a wide range of specialist adult and paediatric services housed in both the Wessex Neurosciences Centre UHS and in OP departments across our catchment area. Stroke Services are also part of the Care Group.

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals. It provides services to its local catchment population of 500,000 people and its growing tertiary services are provided to a population of three million across the southern counties of England including the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands

We are looking for someone who is articulate with excellent interpersonal skills, organised, proactive and motivated to join this service facilitating the smooth running of the patient journey across all elements of the service. In this role we will work with you for on the job training and personal development; this will be the key to learning the necessary skills for this role. 

The successful candidate will be working with a variety of professionals including clinicians and nurse specialists, Management Team and Administration Teams.  This is a very interesting role which offers the opportunity for personal development.

The work is varied requiring an organised approach, attention to detail and strong skills in communication, and administration.
