Online applications are invited to apply for two full time senior fellows in endoscopy commencing asap. This post is fixed term for 1 year.

This is an exciting opportunity to spend 1 year developing special expertise in advanced endoscopy. UHS is a large tertiary referral centre for cancer and complex endoscopy and us such training is available from experts in complex endoscopic resection (EMR/ESD) and ablation techniques (RFA), or ERCP (including laser lithotripsy and spyglass) and/or EUS. These opportunities can be tailored to meet the applicant’s requirements. The post includes service endoscopy sessions to consolidate experience. UHS Endoscopy unit is a renowned training centre and there an opportunity to take part in training more junior endoscopists and be trainee faculty on the JAG accredited courses we provide. There will be opportunity to take part in research and audit. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialty training and have full JAG accreditation in both gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Appointment will be made under local contractual terms and conditions of service for Trust appointed (non-training fellow doctors and dentists) which will be published and available at time of offers.

Grades for Trust appointed (non-training) fellows will be paid a basic salary at a nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular. Basic salary detailed below plus any additional remuneration (as applicable) for hours set out in the doctors work schedule (e.g. additional hours, weekend allowance, and any hours which attract enhanced pay)

Basic Salary - MT04        £47,132

Please note that GMC registration (with a licence to practice) and right to work in the UK are essential for this role.  Successful applicants will already have GMC registration or will be able to demonstrate they are eligible.  Applicants requiring Tier 2 sponsorship should ensure they meet the Home Office application criteria prior to submitting an application.
