Radiology is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person, who has a professional and friendly manner, to join our Radiology administrative team in a part-time role.

Duties will be varied but will include the provision of a comprehensive administration service to Consultants and staff within the Vascular Interventional Radiology Department, specifically supporting the co-ordination and scheduling of appointments and updating several databases.

Typing skills and previous experience of working with the general public are essential and knowledge of medical terminology would be useful.

We are looking for a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills who can be flexible in their approach to work.  The jobholder will need to use their own initiative to prioritise workload, pre-empt problems and maintain confidentiality.

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) is one of England's largest acute teaching trusts. We've recently been rated ‘Good’ by the CQC and in the latest national NHS Staff Survey we ranked seventh in the country for staff engagement, and fourth best nationally for our proportion of staff saying that they would recommend the hospital as a place to work or to receive care. One of our main objectives has been to become a top ten research trust, with the pharmacy department being an integral part of achieving this.

Closing date for application Sunday 21 October.
