We have an exciting opportunity for a recruiter to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. If you have previous experience in an HR or recruitment role and are able to manage a diverse and ever changing workload, we’d love to receive your application.
You’ll be delivering a fast, accurate, customer focused recruitment service, and as such, you’ll need to customer service orientated and a committed individual who enjoys providing a first class service to managers and candidates.
HR recruitment at UHS advertises and administers thousands of roles a year filling vacancies across the Trust, from electricians to doctors, accountants to physiotherapists. We recruit into high volume vacancies as well as niche, highly specialist posts. The corporate recruitment team, within which this role will sit, is a friendly and hard-working team that plays a pivotal role in ensuring we meet the workforce needs of the Trust.
You will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process from advertising vacancies through to offers of employment as well as meeting deadlines and ensuring KPIs (key performance indictors) are achieved. This will involve:
delivery of a comprehensive and responsive recruitment service within the trust
providing specialist guidance on creative advertising and robust selection processes
adherence to the NHS employment check standards and compliance with appropriate employment legislation
being the first point of call for recruitment queries and issues for managers and other key stakeholders
We are open Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and some flexibility will be required for recruitment events that fall on Saturdays or evenings.
Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within a busy team are essential. We’ll also be looking for you to demonstrate:
previous experience of pre-employment check compliance
previous experience working in an operational recruitment role
up-to-date knowledge of resourcing and recruitment processes and best practice
able to build effective working relationships with managers at all levels of seniority
Previous experience of using recruitment attraction methods and in delivering training would be advantageous, as would previous experience of recruitment within a healthcare setting, although this is not essential.
