We are looking for an individual who is passionate about improving the patient experience by ensuring that concerns and complaints are responded to effectively, efficiently and sensitively. This post will be for a six month secondment to support our team whilst one of our team members is on a sabbatical. 

 

The focus of this post is to support service users in the resolution of their concerns and complaints. The post holder will be take responsibility for a caseload of complaints and work closely with a wide range of departments and staff. The role includes complaint triage, investigation planning and response writing to support local resolution of complaints.

 

Good telephone skills, letter writing skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines are essential. Proficient use of standard office software is also essential.

You will be educated to first degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant experience.  You will need to be highly skilled and experienced at dealing with the public, no prior complaints experience is required.

 

Ideally you should have good investigative skills and an understand the hierarchy of our hospital.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
