Online applications are invited Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine commencing ASAP. This post is fixed term for 12 month posts in the initial instance.
What you’ll do and what we’re looking for
This post is for one full-time Specialty Doctor to join the Emergency Department at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The post will offer a broad range of experience in emergency medicine in a busy ED and trauma centre seeing more than 100,000 new patients per annum.
This post is intended for doctors experienced in Emergency Medicine who wish to further develop their skills outside of a training post. There will be support for those who wish to pursue CSER recognition.
You will manage patents in all areas of the ED: acute assessment, resuscitation, majors, minors, paediatrics and the clinical decision unit with appropriate senior support.
Appointment will be made under local contractual terms and conditions of service for Trust appointed (non-training fellow doctors and dentists) which will be published and available at time of offers.
Grades for Trust appointed (non-training) fellows will be paid a basic salary at a nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular. Basic salary detailed below plus any additional remuneration (as applicable) for hours set out in the doctors work schedule (e.g. additional hours, weekend allowance, and any hours which attract enhanced pay)
Basic Salary – MC46 £39,060 - £72,840
Please note that GMC registration (with a licence to practice) and right to work in the UK are essential for this role. Successful applicants will already have GMC registration or will be able to demonstrate they are eligible. Applicants requiring Tier 2 sponsorship should ensure they meet the Home Office application criteria prior to submitting an application.
