Job overview

Critical Care, Theatres and Anaesthetics are looking to recruit two business case managers, one covering critical care and one covering theatres (including Lymington). We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to provide operational management, leadership and strategic direction to services along & leading the admin and Clerical services in order to optimise performance, efficiency and quality. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse team working on developing processes to analyse performance and interpret data for efficient service as well as overseeing the operational data collection requirement to support validation processes. The job will involve the formulation and writing of formal business cases working with teams internally and externally to UHS, ensuring appropriate funding is in place. The successful applicants will work with a truly multi disciplinary team, helping deliver, plan and evaluate the delivery of  Critical Care and theatre services.

Your Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Provide operational management, leadership and strategic direction to the Admin & Clerical services in order to optimise performance, efficiency and quality.
  • Develop processes to analyse performance and interpret data for efficient service and focus on always improving.
  • Oversee the operational data collection requirements and to support validation processes.
  • Identify areas for service improvement and work with the team on projects to improve service delivery and data accuracy.
  • Work in partnership with all services to support effective flow management, ensuring service users receive care and treatment in the most appropriate environment to meet their needs.

What we’re looking for

  • Forward thinking individuals who are eager to develop their own skills 
  • Previous experience of post-qualification study/professional development (Including working) with in an operational. Financial or business planning area within NHS or other similar / relevant environment
  • Demonstrate capability and capacity for management within health services
  • Staff and resource management experience

Essential criteria
  • First degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Evidence of post-qualification study/professional development (including working) with in an operational, financial or business planning area within the NHS / equivalent or similar environment
  • Advanced IT skills (MS Office)
Desirable criteria

  • Project management qualification

Experience
