Attendance at regional meetings may also be required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The post holder will be expected to lead the therapy team in the absence of the Band 8/7s, be involved in the teaching programme, service development, student supervision and the development of Band 3-5 therapy staff. All staff are expected to work flexibly to support a 7-day service.

The post holder will be expected to engage in research as appropriate, as well as regular clinical audits, and maintain up to date skills and knowledge in order to implement evidence based practice. The role will require teaching undergraduate students, as well as providing specialist advice to colleagues.

The successful applicant would be expected to work at weekends within all fields of Medicine and be on the Physiotherapy Respiratory On-call and twilight rota, working across the acute wards at UHS on a rota basis.

As one of the largest acute teaching Trust’s in England, we can offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to. We believe you deserve the best possible surroundings in which to do your job and we want to support you in doing your job to the best of your ability.
