The development of your skills and competencies is important to us in maintaining quality care in our children’s hospital. We will offer you a one-year preceptorship programme, along with full support from our education team, to aid your development throughout. This involves monthly study days to further refine and broaden your nursing skills. The year is underpinned by the completion of a reflective practice portfolio, which supports your transition and develops your confidence as an autonomous professional.
We offer a flexible career pathway; offering opportunities for staff to move around between the many specialities within the Children’s Hospital. If you are interested in this route please highlight this in your supporting statement, along with the specific choice of speciality you wish to be considered for as your first post.
