We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, dynamic, ambitious and motivated experienced nurse to join the nursing team as a clinical nurse specialist working as a member of the multidisciplinary team within Cardiac rhythm management at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).

ABOUT THE TEAM

UHS is a tertiary cardiology centre with four CRM consultants providing comprehensive interventions and support for patients with arrhythmia and devices.

The team provide support and guidance to a specialist patient population, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a CRM nurse you will be providing ongoing continuity and quality of care, to improve the patient experience and prevent avoidable admissions. You will be supported in developing the skills required for this role.  As a CRM nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient telephone advice line/email
  • Ad hoc nurse led clinics
  • Ajmaline challenges
  • Inpatient & outpatient support
  • Implantation of cardiac loop devices
  • Supporting off site ICD deactivation
