We are looking for a discharge and transfer coordinator to join the cardiovascular and thoracic care group on a fixed term contract for 12 months. You will be part of the bed management team and will focus on ensuring safe and timely discharges for our patients. You will be expected to work Monday to Friday but should be willing to flex according to acuity within the ward areas.
We are looking for someone who is articulate with excellent interpersonal skills, proactive and motivated.
Combined with NHS experience, you will need to have the ability to multi task, organise your own workload whilst remaining calm under pressure and enjoy a challenge.
This is a varied role, requiring an organised approach, attention to detail and strong skills in communication, and administration.
The cardiovascular and thoracic care group is the regional centre for cardiac surgery, cardiology, vascular and thoracic surgery. We provide a wide range of specialist adult and paediatric services. The care group is a welcoming, busy and dynamic environment and this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, self-directed individual to become part of the cardiovascular and thoracic bed management team.
