An exciting opportunity has become available within the cardiovascular and thoracic phlebotomy team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). As a phlebotomist you will play an integral part of delivering high quality care to our patients. If you are self-motivated and able to manage your own work load while responding to urgent requests from both nursing and medical colleagues then we would like to hear from you.

You must have excellent communication skills and evidence that you can build and maintain professional relationships within the multi professional team within the care group.

This post will cover a range of shifts 7 days a week Monday to Friday between 07.15-13.30 and Saturday and Sunday 07.15-13.30. Previous experience of venesection and cannulation is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest teaching hospitals on the south coast; a dynamic and forward thinking organisation, with clear vision.  We provide hospital services to 1.9 million people living in Southampton and south Hampshire, plus specialist cardiac, neurosciences and paediatric services to more than 3.7 million people in central southern England and the Channel Islands.
