ABOUT THE TEAM

This post will allow the post holder to gain experience in the wide variety of anaesthetic subspecialties in UHS. There will be opportunity for teaching lists accompanied by Consultants as well as a proportion of solo lists with distant Consultant supervision.

The post holder will be expected to work as part of the on call rotas in Anaesthesia, ideally to include obstetric on call. This post is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service determined by the UHS NHS FT Board.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is a full time post to support ongoing workload including senior and middle grade trainee rotas and where possible the obstetric rota.

The aim will be to provide educational opportunities to allow career progression as requested by the candidate. We have CESR trainees in the department, and we would be keen to support the development of the candidate, by mutual agreement with the Care Group Lead.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

At least 2 years of Anaesthetic experience (excluding ICU) within the NHS. Please note that GMC registration (with a licence to practice) and right to work in the UK are essential for this role.  Successful applicants will already have GMC registration or will be able to demonstrate they are eligible.  Applicants requiring Tier 2 sponsorship should ensure they meet the Home Office application criteria prior to submitting an application.
