FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITHIN A DYNAMIC TEAM OF VASCULAR PROFESSIONALS.

Are you looking for a new challenge? The Wessex Vascular Network are looking to recruit Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) to work alongside our highly experienced specialist nurses at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. There will be an opportunity for cross site working between both Southampton and Portsmouth sites.

The Wessex Vascular Network is a tertiary referral centre of excellence for vascular surgery working in collaboration with hospitals across the Solent region and beyond. The ANP’s role is an integral part of both the medical and wider health care team, involved in all aspects of patient care. The ANP role embodies the trusts core values of patients first, working together, always improving.

Currently we have a team of proactive, committed and dynamic ANP’s working within a well-defined, structured and respected career pathway.  We have an established education pathway including an MSc in Advanced clinical practice (ANP).

We are looking to recruit Band 6 / 7 Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioners (Grade dependent on skill/competence and previous experience) to our Vascular specialty. You will need to have a high level of experience in acute nursing at band 6 and have sound clinical knowledge whilst also demonstrating managerial and leadership abilities. Trainee ANP’s will be enrolled on the MSc programme upon appointment. Alongside the MSc programme you will be supported by both medical and ANP colleagues to develop your knowledge and skills as you progress towards autonomous practice.

The scope of this role includes acute inpatient reviews and implementation and evaluation of a clinical management plan, rapid access clinics, outpatient clinics and pre-assessment clinics.

You should be energetic and forward thinking, as well as eager to develop your own clinical and leadership skills. If you enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment and are looking for a position which will challenge you then we would like to hear from you. An informal visit is encouraged and highly recommended. So please contact us if you think this could be the job for you.
