We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Patient Pathway Coordinator to join the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) / New Forest Surgical Administration Team based at Lymington New Forest Hospital. We currently offer a service Monday to Friday during office hours. Flexibility in shift pattern can be considered to suit the needs of the service.
The candidate will work across multiple divisions providing secretarial services and administration support to all consultants and health care professionals attending for New Forest outpatient clinics and operating lists.
This role is to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey, providing streamlined administration processes around the patient and their individual needs. The role will involve typing from audio dictation and handwritten notes, proof reading and making any necessary amendments to documents created by outsource agencies.
The candidate will need to be confident on the phone and able to use their initiative and judgement in order to deal with all enquires. The candidate will work closely with their colleagues and a multidisciplinary team including nurses and consultants to deliver a high level of care to the patients that caters to their individual needs.
The candidate will be a strong team player and work closely with colleagues to provide cross cover for other Patient Pathway Coordinators/Medical Secretaries to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is maintained at all times.
